乐视方面表示，乐视购买的视频版权资源通过设置网页广告和视频窗口插播广告来获取广告收益。2015年，乐视公司发现，被告爱奇艺公司和合一公司在各自经营的客户端软件中未经许可，通过抓取乐视网站的视频播放窗口、嵌套乐视网视频资源的方式向用户提供在线视频点播服务。二被告在提供服务的过程中，不仅屏蔽了乐视网网页、Logo和广告，而且还设置了自己的网页广告，以此谋取经济利益。
