IT资讯5月16日消息，北京联通方面今天下午正式宣布将启动第五次宽带大提速，同时推出4K超高清联通宽带电视（IPTV）业务，并开启“4K狂欢节”活动。

根据北京联通方面公布的信息，此次提速过后，现有的20M宽带用户将免费升级至50M、50M宽带用户将免费提高到100M，正在使用100M宽带的用户则将免费升级到200M。

与此同时，北京联通承诺，将于6月底前完成光纤改造工作，实现北京全光纤网络。届时，90%以上的北京联通宽带用户将达到50M甚至更高的接入速率，最终将实现“50M起步、100M主流”的目标。

除了宽带免费提速之外，北京联通也开启了“4K狂欢节”活动，具体包括“百万用户4K节目免费体验”和“百万用户4K超清机顶盒免费赠送”两项活动。
