最近IDC的报告显示，全球PC销量在2016年第四季度同比下跌了1.5%，仅为7020万部。Gartner分析师认为，随着全球PC出货量不断下跌，接下来厂商会专注于高端高价位的PC，以获取更高利润，但廉价PC不会消失，不过PC厂商不认为具有太高的吸引力。

目前尚不清楚各类PC平均涨价会是多少，以及涨价期会持续多长时间，但2017年春季电脑价格便开始逐步上涨。
