报道中提到，2015届本科毕业生(4042元)比2014届增长了269元，本科毕业生中，有27.1%月收入超过5000元，月收入在1500以下的占1.1%。高职高专毕业生2015届平均月收入(3409元)比2014届增长了209元，高职高专毕业生中，月收入在5000元以上的占13.1%，月收入在1500以下的占2.8%。
从专业来看，2015届本科毕业生毕业半年后收入最高的是“计算机与数据处理”职业类，平均月收入为5039元，其次是“互联网开发与应用”职业类，平均月收入为5017元。2015届高职高专毕业生毕业半年后月收入最高的是“经营管理”职业类(4148元)，其次是“金融”职业类(4141元)。
报告称，扣除当年居民消费价格指数(CPI)增长的影响后，近三届大学生实际工资仍保持着稳定上升的趋势。
报告称，这一增幅超过城市居民同期平均薪资涨幅(15.7%)，大学教育的长期回报是明显的，读大学比不读大学在收入的长期提升中有较大优势。
