5月8日3时17分，微博认证为“武汉斗鱼网络科技有限公司”的“斗鱼TV直播平台”发布声明称，斗鱼直播“坚决拥护政府监管，管得越严对斗鱼的发展越有利”，武汉斗鱼“希望通过加强监管、丰富内容、净化环境三大举措，带动整个直播行业的健康有序发展”。
“佼佼者”被查
武汉斗鱼官网显示，斗鱼直播是一家弹幕式直播分享网站，是“国内直播分享网站中的佼佼者”。

当晚，“斗鱼TV直播平台”通过微博发布官方声明，“斗鱼直播间全部为实名认证，一经发现主播有任何违规行为，我们都将立刻予以封停查处，绝不姑息。”声明还称，平台管理员在第一时间将该不雅直播封停，并立即向警方报案提供主播个人信息。
