Recently, the Linux Foundation announced a donation Code ... Org non-profit organization, each one between June 1, 2014 to June 30 at 11:59 to join the new Member, Code.org will receive $ 25. Code.org is by creating opportunities for more schools in order to increase the participation of women and people of color student, non-profit organization dedicated to expanding computer science education.
Its goal is to provide opportunities for students in every school to study computer science. Coincidentally, the Code.org and the Linux Foundation's mission is to increase opportunities for learning to program.
CMO Amanda McPherson of the Linux Foundation, explains that many of today's Linux talent is from a student started playing with computers, and in college writing a simple program. By providing individual member contributions this month to Code.org, we hope that the community will support Linux and Linux founder Linus Torvalds, while helping to increase the access to education of the next generation of computer science Linux developers and system administrators.
Learning and education is also a top priority by the Linux Foundation. Foundation recently announced the first "Linux started" massively open online course (MOOC), which is available to everyone for free. More than 140,000 people have first class registration is expected to begin in August. It also provides and organizes a variety of training courses.
