上述裁决由美国证券交易委员会(Securities and Exchange Commission，简称SEC)一位行政法官做出，目前尚未生效，且相关方面可能发起上诉。不过京东上市文件表明，这一裁决对希望赴美上市的中国公司造成影响。

京东的审计方是总部位于上海的普华永道中天会计师事务所(PricewaterhouseCoopers Zhong Tian LLP)，该事务所是可能被暂停审计美国上市公司的事务所之一。
