雄伟的景色就在眼前却不能拍摄，无奈他只好决定离开峡谷，这时车上收音机传来的一个声音为他带来一线希望：一个男孩数星期前从大海里找回了遗失的iPhone，用米粒吸干里面的水气后成功开机。听到这个消息后Gavin心想反正拯救已经坏了的相机也没有损失（哭），于是他决定尝试用“米缸”救回他的相机。

具体方法：

1、擦干机身上可见的水渍，并找一个可以容纳相机和同等重量大米的箱子。

2、先铺一层大米，把相机卡口朝下放在上面。

3、再倒入米粒盖过机身，大约比机身高一寸。米粒可以把相机内水份吸出。

4、盖上盖子放置六天打开即可。

经过六天的努力，Gavin终于可以打开相机并成功进入菜单。可惜相机掉进水里的时候撞到了岩石，这对相机和镜头造成了物理上损坏。虽然这台相机最后不能使用了，但这则故事告诉我们靠一包大米让掉进水里的相机起死回生，这并不是神话。
