So far, global PC installed capacity is still more than a Smartphone or Tablet . However, this situation is likely to change next year.

Mobile Analyst Ben fvans (Ben Evans) forecasts, the global smart phone installed capacity will go beyond the PC for the first time next year. In Evans's view, the current global PC installed capacity is approximately 1.6 billion, while Smartphone installed capacity to 1.3 billion units, but the latter is growing much faster than the PC. However, we can see the trend from a different angle. Market research firm IDC forecasts this year, PC (including desktops and notebooks ) to 314.2 million units in shipments, down from per cent in 2012, up a 10.1% decline, also set a maximum single-year decline in PC history. Meanwhile, the IDC also forecast Smartphone shipments this year to more than 1 billion, bringing it to a 39.3% increase in per cent.

IDC expects 2017 Smartphone shipments to 1.7 billion units, while PC shipments to 305.1 million units. Shipments, though it is not equal to the actual number of products sold to consumers. Similarly, shipments are not equivalent to the installed capacity, because during this period, many old phones will be eliminated. All in all, installed capacity rise is based on time, but it is not based on the rate of shipments and sales.

IBM for Thanksgiving and Black Friday data tracked in recent years has shown that Americans during the holidays 25.8% buying is done through a Smartphone or tablet. On Black Friday, 21.8% of transactions completed via a Smartphone or Tablet PC. Even more important is that during major festivals, people through a mobile device shopping activities account for online shopping to 20% per cent of the total.
