ZTE's morning announcement on November 18 United States Department of Commerce export restrictions on the company decided the latest progress. The company was informed that the United States Department of Commerce Bureau of industry and security (BIS) has further ruled that the interim General permit extension to February 27, 2017 (United States), which ruled on November 18, 2016 (United States) entered into force.

United States Department of Commerce in 2016 that ZTE violations of United States Government of Iran imposed the export ban, export restrictions on the Chinese telecoms equipment maker. Subsequently, the BIS had earlier ruled, to amend the decision, setting up common license, ZTE and Shenzhen zhongxing Kang electronics limited export restrictions will not be brought into operation before June 30, 2016, following the interim General License postponed to August 30, 2016, and further postponed to November 28, 2016.

ZTE said, will continue to work with relevant United States Government departments to cooperate actively with relevant United States Government departments, to seek a final solution and will strictly abide by the associated with the export restrictions of the United States laws and regulations.

中兴通讯表示，将继续与相关美国政府部门保持合作，积极与相关美国政府部门沟通，以寻求最终解决方案，并将严格遵守与出口限制相关的美国法律法规。
