据广州警方介绍，被抓获的台湾籍嫌疑人78人中，男性64人、女性14人。团伙主犯和头目主要也是台湾籍人，他们从中国大陆和台湾地区招募人员，在亚美尼亚建立了6个电信诈骗窝点。

其中，在该团伙主犯“阿龙”(台湾人)要求下，团伙头目曾某(男，41岁，绰号“三哥”，台湾彰化人)于今年7月20日先行到亚美尼亚，其联系的35名团伙成员于7月底和8月初陆续到达，他们以“合伙投资开餐厅”为掩护，组建成该团伙在亚美尼亚的1号诈骗窝点。

广州警方透露，该团伙以“冒充公检法”的手法针对中国大陆民众实施电信诈骗作案，涉及中国大陆25个省市的案件达200多宗，涉案金额2000多万元(人民币，下同)，其中最大一宗涉案金额达1040万元。经警方逐一核对，目前已找到被诈骗事主的案件有86宗，涉案金额600多万元。

据介绍，该团伙在亚洲、欧洲、非洲多国转移作案窝点，今年年中才逐渐转到亚美尼亚。团伙内部有统一的管理食宿、上班时间、工作流程、纪律等制度，成员不能随便外出。成员每月底薪为5000元至6000元，诈骗得逞后还有骗款5%至8%的“提成”。

“十一”国庆节期间，该电信诈骗集团6号窝点的7名在逃嫌疑人(均为男性，均福建人)分别在北京、福建和广州、深圳落网，至此该团伙被抓获的成员共达136名。

广州警方表示，大陆中国公安部门已将案件相关情况通过两岸共同打击犯罪和司法互助协议框架管道，向台湾方面作了初步通报
