According to the Digital Trends News, Harvard University and the University of Vermont researchers developed a machine learning procedures, determine whether Instagram users the accuracy of patient suffering from depression can be reached 70%. Previous studies showed that doctors in depression diagnosis rate was only 42%. Researchers said in the paper, they studied 166 Instagram account 43950 photos. Programs use "marker" to identify Instagram whether you have depression, analyzes the color content, metadata, and facial recognition.

Research also found that depressed Instagram users generally don't like to use the filters, but if they use them, tend to use the "Inkwell" filter (pictured above).
