目前WADA并未宣布接到钓鱼邮件的人数，也没有回应是否有选手遭锁定，也未公布万一资料外泄，会如何处理。WADA表示，已向所有资料库使用者告知钓鱼邮件的企图，也在网站上贴出公告作为警示。

选手会从线上资料库，连上名为Whereabouts（行踪）的资讯平台，以便药检单位随时找得到人检验。若黑客获得选手的登入资讯，可更改资料，让药检人员扑空，可能导致选手背负错过药检的指责。
