今天，来自澳大利亚、马来西亚和中华人民共和国三国的部长在马来西亚布城举行了会议，讨论马航MH客机搜寻未果后的工作安排。部长们表示，目前发现的马航MH370客机残片具有重要意义，但这些信息无法帮助确定飞机的精确位置。目前重点搜寻区域仅剩下1万平方公里面积尚待完成。尽管各方付出了最大努力，找到飞机的可能性正逐渐变得渺茫。
因此，部长们决定，如果在当前划定的搜寻区域内未找到客机，在缺乏可以确定飞机具体位置的新证据之前，搜寻工作将在完成12万平方公里后中止，但搜寻行动不会结束。
不过部长们也强调，一旦出现可以用于确定飞机具体位置的关键信息，将评估决定下一步措施。
