IT资讯7月18日消息，LG集团旗下子公司LG化学17日宣布，该公司生产的电池已经通过NASA的稳定性测试，LG化学今后将为NASA提供太空服锂电池，并同时成为为NASA太空服提供电池的首家韩国企业。

据介绍，LG化学拥有一项名叫“稳定增强分离器”的专利技术：将陶瓷材料覆盖在分离器上，用来提高锂电池的稳定性的机械性能，防止电池出现内部短路现象；该技术帮助LG电池通过了NASA的“短路稳定性”测试，在测试过程中，LG电池的表现比韩国其它企业及日本企业更好。

此外，和银锌电池相比，LG电池可以将续航时间延长5倍。NASA认为LG电池是其太空服的最佳选择，今后，NASA太空服的氧气供应、通信和辐射探测等生命保障设备将用LG电池驱动。
