近日，此前曾在北京等地区推广的第五代公厕“第5空间”公厕样板间在山西省太原市正式投入使用。除了厕所基本功能，“第5空间”借助自然光，增加了室内亮度和舒适度；新增第三卫生间，专为残障人士、老人以及母婴如厕设计安装的各类设施;室内安装了暖气和空调。

据介绍，“第5空间”公厕还增加了自动存取款机及缴费机、新能源汽车充电桩、再生资源智能回收机、无线网络覆盖、电商终端、自动售水机等便民服务基础设施。

第五代公厕标准明确，新建改建公厕将加装主动式排风除臭系统，有条件的公厕还将在每个厕位旁安装通风管道。并且厕内将实现智能控温，冬天温度不低于12℃，夏天不高于30℃。为符合环保要求，节水规定也会更加严格，要求大便器冲水每次小于4升，小便器冲水每次小于1.5升。

此外，公厕还配建了环卫工人休息间和淋浴室，专门为“第5空间”保洁人员以及周边环卫工人提供休息的场所，环卫工人饮水难、吃饭难、休息难、淋浴难的问题将得到有效解决，未来环卫工人也可以穿上干净衣服上下班，为转型为现代产业工人创造条件。
