目前香港创业公司周围盘绕着大量关注和宣传炒作，让你难以注意到这座城市的一些现实问题，比如香港的生活成本很高，海外人才要移居到这里并不容易。政府对众筹和P2P之类的平台缺乏监管，香港与中国内地的社会、经济和政治联系的脱节在不断扩大，创业公司在A轮融资之后难以筹集到资金。这些都是香港要想成为“东方硅谷”所面临的问题。

而且，虽然香港以其独特的方式融汇了东西方文化，事实已经证明，香港和大陆之间的文化差异也不小。一些创业者本来是想以香港为基地，把眼光瞄准了利润丰厚的大陆市场，当他们发现这个问题后，已经开始考虑直接进入大陆了。

所以笔者认为，以香港如今繁荣的创业景象来预言它将成为“东方硅谷”，这还言之过早。
