6月26日上午10：20左右，在宜凤高速公路郴州宜章段长村东溪大桥附近，一辆车牌号为湘D94396、由耒阳开往宜章莽山的大巴车，在宜凤高速K34+145处东溪大桥撞上高速公路中间隔离带，随后又撞向东溪大桥右边护栏，致油箱漏油起火。
此前相关部门通报，事故大巴车核载55人。司机目前已被警方控制。
