　　在记者获得的一份上海市2013年3月-6月环保违法单位名单上，上海焦耳蜡业有限公司列于其中，主要问题是：违反建设项目“三同时”及验收制度。所谓“三同时”是根据我国《环境保护法》第41条规定：“建设项目中防治污染的设施，应当与主体工程同时设计、同时施工、同时投产使用。防治污染的设施应当符合经批准的环境影响评价文件的要求，不得擅自拆除或者闲置。”

　　5月23日下午，上海焦耳蜡业有限公司发生爆炸，事故共造成近200平方米的彩钢板坍塌，确认3人死亡，其中包括华东理工大学一名研二学生李鹏。死者家属质疑，此次事故是因导师违规安排学生在自己工厂做实验所致。
