Sources say,in 2016, the Taiwan Smartphone shipments as a whole will be between 7 million and 7.5 million to 7.5 million and 8 million, will fall near 7%.

索尼移动台湾公司的总经理Jonathan Lin介绍说，从2016年年初开始，台湾市场的智能手机发货量开始环比下滑，比如二月份销量低于一月份，另外受到季节性因素影响，三月份发货量继续低于二月份。

目前市场研究公司的预测来看，台湾地区智能手机市场萎缩7%，如此高的幅度已经属于比较严重。

三月份，美国市场咨询公司Gartner预测说，今年全球智能手机市场的增速将会进一步下降，其中中国市场增长率仅为0.7%，北美市场仅仅增长0.4%。这样微弱的增幅，基本上属于原地踏步。

2015年，中国内地曾经出现短暂的智能手机同比萎缩，不过后半年销量有所提振，去年仍然保住了小幅增长的成绩。

台湾智能手机市场空间太过狭小，本地的HTC、华硕、宏碁等三大手机厂商，均执行全球性销售策略，其中作为市场迟到者的华硕和宏碁，瞄准了印度高速增长的中低端安卓手机市场。华硕和宏碁已经开始在印度本土制造智能手机。

去年底的资料显示，在台湾市场比较流行的智能手机品牌包括华硕、HTC、三星、索尼、苹果、LG等。中国大陆手机品牌在台湾市场的影响力仍然比较微弱。
