早前亚视高级节目主任程启光透露，当到亚视最后广播不足1分钟时，即晚上11时59分07秒，画面会呈现一张卡向观众告别，但最终并无出现。

大量网民投诉未有看到“一张卡”出现，纷纷在网上留言指当亚视熄机后“逐格重播”都未能看到该张神秘卡出现，狠批亚视“最后一刻都走数”、“讲过话不算数就是亚视风格”、“说好的一张卡呢？”。

港台接手后的节目头炮，就是重播《十大中文金曲颁奖音乐会》，但只会播放至凌晨1时半结束，由于港台不会24小时广播，等待清晨6时半才恢复启播，早上同样重播港台旧节目《香港故事─自游香港》配上印尼语字幕。

政府于去年4月1日宣布不再续牌予亚视，亚视原可继续提供免费电视服务至今年的4月1日。而过去366天（今年2月有29天），亚视不断传出欠薪消息，大部份员工被拖欠今年1月及2月分薪金，在最后倒数日子更出现员工被遣散及停播危机，最终挨到免费牌照终结一刻，正式“熄机”，退出免费电视战场。
