其实柯洁自己就是一台“话题制造机”，他的言行与努力也确实为围棋博取了极大关注。柯洁坦言，他想把棋手的另一面展现出来。“此前有的棋手不太善于表达自己，这让很多年轻人认为我们棋手只知道下棋，就是棋呆子。我希望不给外界留下这样的印象，而是把棋手积极、向上、阳光的一面展示出来。”

“其次和李世石的心态也有关系。前三盘不知道AlphaGo是什么棋风，他有一定的不适应，加之轻敌，心态上必然会有些波动。不单单是李世石，任何棋手在最初与之对战时都是难以适应的，这个心态很难调整，我也非常理解李世石在这样的情况下发挥失常。歪招之类是行不通的，想取胜还是要做自己。等李世石可以正视这个对手，为时已晚。”
