公报显示，2015年全球在世界知识产权组织《专利合作条约》框架下提交的专利申请数量比前一年增长了1.7%。其中，美国共提交约5.74万件申请，日本和中国分别以约4.42万件和约2.98万件位列二、三位。

世界知识产权组织分析认为，去年专利申请数量增长最快的国家是中国、韩国和以色列，这三个国家分别增长了16.8%、11.5%和7.4%。

企业专利申请排名方面，华为以3898件连续第二年位居榜首，美国高通公司和中国的中兴通讯分别以2442件和2155件位列其后。
