谈到免费DNS域名服务商，大家熟悉的要数谷歌DNS和OpenDNS两家公司。不知不觉中，OpenDNS已不仅仅是一家DNS服务商，现在已变身为一家安全公司，营业收入也发生变化。官方CEO近期正式宣布，从6月6日起，OpenDNS再也不弹广告。
据OpenDNS公司CEO兼创始人David Ulevitch介绍，从2005年创办OpenDNS后，公司收入也由原先的ISP广告收入转向为安全客户付费服务，因此公司也决定不再给普通用户弹广告。之前，当用户启用OpenDNS免费DNS服务器，当输入的网址无法解析时，官方服务器会自动重定向到广告页，获取一定的广告收入。
不过现在，这些都不会发生了。
