The end of April, Google stopped scanning students ' mailboxes . 4月底，谷歌宣布停止扫描学生邮箱。近期，谷歌公司再次做了一个艰难决定，停止“偷看”Google Apps所有用户邮箱，其中包括政府、企业机构用户。原先谷歌利用邮箱扫描，收集用户个人数据，用于投放商业精准广告。

之前，学生、教师用户在加州起诉谷歌，指控其扫描邮件行动已违反美国反窃听法。后者不得不更新自家服务内容，保证自己停止扫描Google Apps for Education学生邮箱内容。现在，谷歌也宣布停止扫描Google Apps for Business、Google Apps for Government中的政府机构、企业用户的邮箱账户，并停止商业精准广告投放。

据国外TechCrunch介绍，最新版Google Apps控制面板已不提供广告开启/关闭选项，系统默认将直接禁用广告功能。

谷歌公司也表示，该升级工作很快推送，当系统升级完成后将及时提示用户。
