　　5月1日16时许，宜昌市沿江大道胜利三路路口，一辆轿车失控冲向人群，造成2人死亡，9人受伤，其中2人重伤、7人轻伤。交通事故发生后，肇事驾驶员左某某已被警方控制。

　　据交警方面介绍，事故发生后，交警部门和120急救人员及时将伤者送往医院救治。此前，已有3名伤者在警方到来之前自行前往医院就诊，因此在昨日的统计中出现了误差。

　　经宜昌市交警支队初步调查，事故车辆驾驶员左某某45岁，宜昌市夷陵区人，事故发生时，左某某驾驶一辆雪佛兰轿车，载其家属2人，由伍家岗往西陵方向行驶至沿江大道胜利三路路口时，越过道路中心双黄线驶入对向车道，最终冲向休闲人群酿成惨祸。

　　经警方提取左某某的血液和尿样送检，已排除酒驾、毒驾嫌疑。事故原因还在调查。(完)
