　　新华网“雪龙”号3月23日电 (记者张建松)截至23日18时，“雪龙”号航行到南纬36度50分、东经102度57分，距离目标海域还有650海里，行程过半，预计还需航行40多个小时到达目标海域。

　　从高倍望远镜里望去，浩瀚无际的南印度洋好似一片“深灰色沙漠”，除了偶尔有几只海鸟飞过，没有任何生命迹象，也没有发现任何漂浮物。尽管如此，“雪龙”号上的科考队员仍然锲而不舍地不断瞭望，只为对生命的尊重、对真相的追寻。大家分成四个班24小时值守，每班10个人加强沿途瞭望，不放过任何搜寻机会。

　　“雪龙”号上的雷达也具有在3海里范围、搜寻到10米左右大小目标的能力，值班船员也时刻关注着雷达上任何细微变化。
