Ron Louks早期曾任职索尼爱立信研发实验室，2010年他转投HTC，任职首席战略官。黑莓表示任用Ron Louks的目的在于规划黑莓长期产品路线图，其中包括硬件、软件和设计等。

Ron Louks在2012年离任HTC时曾签署一份协议，保证其在一年内不会到HTC任何竞争对手那里任职。现在刚好一年时间过去了，也许是相信他将帮助黑莓走出困境重新复兴，黑莓马上聘用了Ron Louks。

相比黑莓，Ron Louks的老东家HTC目前的日子也并不好过。究竟这项人事任命能不能起到效果呢？我们只能等待时间来检验。
