Xinhuanet, Zhengzhou, January 1 (reporter Liang Peng)-1st reporters from Henan province gongyi city Party Committee was informed that, on December 22, 2013, dayugou is located in the city of Henan coal industry group carbon flooded coal mine East mining teams, in which 16 people were trapped underground. After the accident, according to initial verification, gongyi city, around December 22, dayugou of Henan coal industry group carbon coal mine East mining coal mine flooding accident occurred, 16 were trapped. The emergency rescue, around 13 o'clock in the day, trapped 16 people in all, and sent to hospital. 7 of these patients whom have been killed, suspected carbon monoxide poisoning and injured 9 people, 4 patients were discharged, 5 other people continue to receive treatment in hospital. At present, the mine had been ordered to suspend production for rectification.
On December 31, 2013, gongyi city, Henan provincial work safety supervision Bureau, the people's Government Department verification report. 新华网郑州1月1日电 (记者梁鹏)记者1日从河南省巩义市委获悉，2013年12月22日，位于该市的河南大峪沟煤业集团炭煤矿东翼采煤队发生透水事故，造成16人被困井下。被困人员在当日经抢险救援升井被送往医院抢救，其中，7人抢救无效陆续死亡，9名受伤人员仍有5人住院治疗。
事故发生后，据巩义市初步核查，12月22日11时10分左右，河南大峪沟煤业集团炭煤矿东翼采煤队井下发生一起透水事故，16人被困。经紧急抢险救援，在当天13时左右，被困的16人全部升井并送往医院抢救。其中7人抢救无效陆续死亡，疑似一氧化碳中毒，受伤的9人中，4人已出院，其他5人在医院继续接受治疗。目前，该矿已被责令停产整顿。
2013年12月31日，巩义市人民政府向河南省安监局等部门上报了核查报告。记者采访了解到，1日，由河南煤矿安全监察局郑州监察分局牵头的事故调查组已经进驻巩义，就事故原因、上报时间、程序等问题展开全面调查。
