76年过去了，历史留给南京的创伤并没有随时间而愈合。每年到这个时候，南京市都会组织市民进行各种形式的悼念活动。在今天上午，江苏省、南京市各界群众聚集在侵华日军南京大屠杀纪念馆前，悼念同胞、祈祷和平。
在南京大屠杀纪念馆遇难者名单墙(哭墙)的旁边，南京市根据两年来新搜集认定的大屠杀遇难者名录在这里新增添了104个名字，虽然悼念仪式在10点开始，但是已经陆续有耄耋之年的幸存者、结队而来的青年学生进入这里，有的抚摸着自己遇难家人的名字，也有的对自己并不熟悉的沉默驻足，现场除了悼念音乐和集会者走过雨花石的声音几乎听不到其他声响。再过一个小时悼念活动将正式开始，届时南京全市将试鸣防空警报，武警仪仗队的战士也将向遇难者敬献花圈，市民将宣读《南京和平宣言》，最后将由世界各国的和平人士代表来撞响和平大钟。此外，在南京市的燕子矶、北极阁、中山码头等大屠杀发生地也将同时举行悼念活动。
据纪念馆馆长朱成山介绍，今年又有周秀华、倪翠萍等十名幸存者去世，目前健在的大屠杀幸存者人数已经不足200人，目前这些老人仍然克服年迈体弱来支持大屠杀作证和宣传和平。
