克劳斯在文章中指出，苹果公司对于工业用银需求大涨使得供求关系大幅度倾斜，这势必导致全球银价将显著提升。克劳斯还提及今年年初苹果新款27英寸iMac出货被迫延迟10个星期，原因正是苹果公司在中国遇到了工业用银短缺的问题。

克劳斯还表示，苹果公司只是导致未来12个月内全球银价上涨的促进因素之一，除此之外美国铸币厂对于银的大量消耗也将刺激银价抬升。
