尽管昨天谷歌终止了在香港地区建设数据中心的计划，但并不影响台湾/新加坡地区的谷歌计划，今天谷歌在官方博客中宣布，亚洲地区台湾和新加坡两家数据中心正式上线，并开启在线服务。

由于亚洲地区的快速增长的移动互联网用户以及潜在的市场需求，促使了谷歌公司在亚洲进行部署自家两座数据中心平台。尤其在印度地区，互联网用户在过去两年内快速增长到2亿多用户，而这个数据里程碑在美国，则花了近6年的时间才打破。

在官方博客中介绍道：就今年7月到9月份，亚洲地区累计有6亿的用户量首次使用移动互联网，这个数据几乎是加拿大用户的两倍、澳大利亚的三倍多。

同样官方也在博客中展示了台湾地区和新加坡地区的谷歌数据中心的外景和内景图。
