11月30日下午，2013年世界艾滋病日主题宣传活动在中国人民大学举行。国家卫生计生委主任李斌，世界卫生组织艾滋病/结核病防治亲善大使、国家卫生计生委预防艾滋病宣传员彭丽媛，中国性病艾滋病防治协会会长张文康，全国工商联副主席谢经荣，国家卫生计生委副主任崔丽，中国人民大学党委书记靳诺、校长陈雨露，国家卫生计生委预防艾滋病宣传员濮存昕、蒋雯丽，共同点亮爱心红丝带，倡议全社会共抗艾滋，共担责任，共享未来。
2013年世界艾滋病日活动主题是“行动起来，向‘零’艾滋迈进(Getting to Zero)”，我国的宣传主题为“共抗艾滋、共担责任、共享未来”。
宣传活动由国家卫生计生委预防艾滋病宣传员周涛主持。广州八院感染科主任医师蔡卫平、北京地坛医院红丝带之家护士长王克荣讲述了在一线工作的抗艾故事。中国医科大学副校长尚红、山西临汾红丝带学校教师刘丽萍以自身体会提出了防治艾滋病是全社会共担的责任。国家预防艾滋病宣传员濮存昕朗诵了诗歌《黄山松》，中国人民大学学生艺术团演唱了《志愿者之歌》，国家预防艾滋病宣传员蒋雯丽与人大艺术团学生表演了同伴教育情景剧《野火》，用不同的方式传递了“防艾人人有责”的知识和理念，倡议社会各界积极参与艾滋病防治工作。
当现场播放彭丽媛参与拍摄的防治艾滋病反歧视公益短片《永远在一起》时，面对充满温情和大爱的画面，观众中响起了阵阵掌声。在现场观众的注视下，公益短片中3名来自山西临汾红丝带学校的艾滋病致孤儿童走上舞台，讲述了他们的青春梦想。当一名15岁的小姑娘高声说出：“我们都非常努力，我的下一个目标就是考上中国人民大学！”全场爆发出热烈掌声，人大师生欢呼着表示了欢迎，主持人周涛勉励她说：“今天站在中国人民大学的校园，咱们的目标就是中国人民大学！在三年以后的中国人民大学新生名单里我们希望看到你的名字！人民大学新闻系是全国最好的专业，希望你以后来到人大，来到中央电视台，我们成为同事，继续宣传抗艾行动！”人大青年志愿者向3名儿童赠送了学生艺术团作品专辑，鼓励他们勇敢实现梦想。
“零艾滋，我们在行动！”随着音乐响起，中国人民大学等6所高校大学生志愿者发起高校联合承诺，国家卫生计生委主任李斌，世界卫生组织艾滋病/结核病防治亲善大使彭丽媛与各界代表一起点亮象征参与、支持、理解、关爱的爱心红丝带。
国艾委成员单位、医疗卫生机构、社会组织代表和中国人民大学、北京大学、清华大学等6所高校的大学生志愿者代表共700多人参加此次活动。
“红丝带”是全世界关心艾滋病患者行动的标志。中国人民大学青年志愿者协会“红丝带”行动是学校青春健康教育的组成部分。1999年10月，中国人民大学青年志愿者协会与联合国人口基金会、中国计划生育协会共同开发“青春健康之旅”活动。14年来，人大青协每年都围绕世界艾滋病日主题开展系列活动，预防艾滋病宣传员彭丽媛等公益人士曾于2006年、2007年来校参加世界艾滋病日主题活动。目前，中国人民大学防艾主题活动年均受众涉及北京高校学生志愿者、农民工子弟、农民工、各类企业员工等群体2000余人，年均开展55场艾滋病防治主题活动，每年累计开展防治艾滋病主题活动185小时。
