根据统计，从2013年4月网易云音乐推出到目前共有3亿用户，超过4亿张歌单，每天网易云音乐用户日均创建歌单量达到62万个。这些歌单给了用户很大方便，也让听歌的过程变得更加享受，用户增长速度位居业内第一。

在音乐版权的保护方面，丁磊认为最根本的目的，还是保护音乐的创作和传播。但对这一点起决定作用的是音乐人和用户。对于用户来说，因为版权分散导致用户要下不同歌手的歌，就要下载一堆音乐应用，要付多出几倍的钱。
