　　BBC在今年1月的一篇文章中称，自2015年7月以来的短短半年内，津布巴韦已经卖给中国100只大象，每只大象的价格大约在4万美元左右（折合人民币约24万元）。根据这个数字，可以简单地推算格雷斯的欠款。不过，大约拥有8.4万只大象的津巴布韦，如果仅仅将大象作为一种可以兑换现金、抵销债务的商品，那么总有一天这些资源会枯竭。
