In order to present a platform for social network users on the hottest topics and news, Facebook recently launched a "hot topic" (Trending Topics), but sparked controversy again and again. Before this automatic aggregation of features and make a scandal, says the 911 attacks were caused by bombs.

According to the United States BuzzFeed network media reported that on Friday, Facebook's hottest topics there have been surprising. Obviously have the media or writers concocted a conspiracy theory, known as the 911 terrorist attacks of 2001, the bomb attacks in the New York twin towers, the towers collapsed not because of the plane crash.

Not yet clear hot topic appears in the content, what is the cause of aggregation algorithm, or manual editing mistakes. Media said the bomb was clearly a hoax mentioned above, but tricking the Facebook background screening mechanism.

Facebook's move has stirred controversy, the company then announced that the total elimination of "911 Memorial" on the topic.

Facebook related products admitted there's a problem, and said it was addressing problems in the background.

United States media noted that it is an embarrassing Facebook moment. Although the topic itself is not reporting the news of Facebook, but by selecting the hot news, be able to influence United States domestic public opinion, these "bombing conspiracy theory" clearly misleading the public.

According to reports, the original Facebook this hot topic feature, arranged by some human editors are responsible for, these editors have strict professional training.

However in May, Facebook this product caused great controversy. United States Republican party who accused Facebook intends to suppress the conservative news and opinion, lost objectivity and fairness. United States media leaks, there is hot news manipulation within the Facebook issue, such as some news was forced to heat the Home.

Facing accusations of Facebook announced by machine algorithms to aggregate news content, in order to avoid suspicions of manipulation of news.

据美国网络媒体BuzzFeed报道，周五，Facebook的热门话题又出现了令人吃惊的内容。显然有媒体或者作者炮制了一个阴谋论，号称2001年的911恐怖袭击，纽约世贸双塔遭遇了炸弹袭击，双塔倒下并不是因为飞机撞击。

目前还不清楚热门话题中出现这一内容，到底是聚合算法的原因，还是人工编辑的失误。媒体称，上述炸弹的说法显然是一个恶作剧，但是骗过了Facebook后台的筛选机制。

Facebook此举引发了争议，随后该公司宣布，将彻底取消“911纪念”这一话题。

Facebook承认相关产品出现了问题，并表示正在解决后台的问题。

美国媒体指出，这是Facebook另外一个尴尬的时刻。虽然Facebook的热点话题本身并不报道新闻，但是通过选取热点新闻，能够影响美国国内舆论，上述的“炸弹袭击阴谋论”显然会误导公众。

据报道，最初Facebook这一热点话题功能，由一些人工编辑负责编排，这些编辑都有着严格的新闻职业训练。

然而五月份，Facebook这一产品引发了巨大争议。美国共和党等人士指责，Facebook有意打压保守派的新闻和观点，丧失了客观公正。美国媒体也爆料称，Facebook内部的确存在人为操纵热点新闻的问题，比如一些没有热度的新闻被强行推到了首页。

面对外界的指责，Facebook宣布将由机器算法来聚合热点新闻的内容，以避免操控新闻的嫌疑。
