2016年8月12日，临沂市临沭县临沭街道西朱车村居民宋振宁（男，20岁，山东理工大学2015级学生）到公安机关报称被电话诈骗1996元。8月23日早5时许，宋振宁家人发现宋振宁在其卧室外沙发上不省人事，120急救人员到场后，确认宋振宁系猝死。经了解，宋振宁生前生活作息正常，无异常表现。

案件发生后，中国公安部及省、市领导同志分别作出指示，要求全力破案，打击犯罪。山东省公安厅高度重视，及时派出工作组指导市县公安机关开展案件侦破工作。
