China's Defense Ministry: Japan has no right to intervene in the dispute

中国国防部：日本无权插手南海争议

　　人民网北京8月25日电（记者 黄子娟）在今天下午召开的中国国防部例行记者会上，中国国防部新闻局副局长、中国国防部新闻发言人吴谦上校表示，日本不是南海问题当事方，无权插手南海争议。

　　记者：日本媒体近日称，中国驻日大使6月下旬曾经向日本方面表示，如果日本派遣自卫队参加美军在南海所谓“航行自由”行动，日方就跨越了中国不可退让的界限，中方对此绝不容忍。报道还称，中方似乎还暗示将会使用军事手段来对抗。请问对于日方在近两个月之后炒作这样的事情怎么看？中国军方对于日本自卫队可能在南海的行动持怎样立场？

　　吴谦：日本企图派遣自卫队参加美军在南海的“航行自由”行动，我们对此坚决反对。日本不是南海问题当事方，无权插手南海争议。中国军队维护国家领土主权和海洋权益的决心意志坚定不移，我们将坚决应对任何威胁和挑战。
