中国成功发射全球首颗量子科学实验卫星

量子卫星是中国科学院空间科学先导专项首批科学实验卫星之一，其主要科学目标是借助卫星平台，进行星地高速量子密钥分发实验，并在此基础上进行广域量子密钥网络实验，以期在空间量子通信实用化方面取得重大突破；在空间尺度进行量子纠缠分发和量子隐形传态实验，开展空间尺度量子力学完备性检验的实验研究。
量子卫星工程由中国科学院国家空间科学中心抓总负责。中国科学技术大学负责科学目标的提出和科学应用系统的研制；中国科学院上海微小卫星创新研究院(上海微小卫星工程中心)抓总研制卫星系统，中国科学院上海技术物理研究所联合中国科学技术大学研制有效载荷分系统；中国科学院国家空间科学中心牵头负责地面支撑系统研制、建设和运行，对地观测与数字地球科学中心等单位参加。
