Alleged Telecom scam, 11 Taiwan were arrested in Indonesia-Taiwan, Indonesia-IT information

Taiwan Foreign Affairs Department revealed on 5th, Indonesia 4th two houses in Jakarta, the police arrested 31 Telecom fraud suspects, 11 of them for the Taiwan people.

台湾外事部门5日透露，印度尼西亚警方4日在雅加达两处民宅逮捕31名电信诈欺嫌犯，其中11人为台湾人。

台湾“中央社”报道称，嫌犯已在5日被移送印度尼西亚移民署收容。台湾驻当地“代表处”已第一时间掌握相关情况，并与印尼当局保持密切联系。

台湾外事部门宣称，该部门与“驻印度尼西亚代表处”将持续与印度尼西亚政府交涉，强力争取台湾嫌犯早日随同相关证据一同返台，接受侦办单位调查。台外事部门及“驻处”将密切留意与掌握涉案台湾人的动态及本案相关后续发展。

台外事部门也呼吁民众，切勿抱持侥幸心态赴海外从事包括电信诈欺在内的不法行为，以免得不偿失。
