　　新华社呼和浩特8月6日专电（记者李云平）记者从内蒙古自治区乌拉特中旗文物管理所获悉，考古人员最近在乌拉特中旗境内新发现上千幅阴山岩画，对研究我国古代游牧民族的生活习惯和社会风貌有着极其重要的意义。

　　据乌拉特中旗文物管理所所长刘斌介绍，该岩画群位于乌拉特中旗东部新忽热苏木乌兰楚鲁嘎查北部的勃日和山几处山峰上，分布区域长约2公里，内容以动物为主，也有狩猎的画面。

　　刘斌说，岩画遗存最集中的地方在勃日和山主峰上，这里共发现近50组画面，每幅画面由若干个单体画组成，图案内容包括北山羊、盘羊、骆驼、麋鹿、虎、狼等。这些岩画多采用打凿的手法，图案刻痕较宽，线条略显笨拙，画面清晰，保存较好，初步推算是我国古代北方游牧民族突厥、党项部落的文化遗存。

　　阴山岩画是雕凿在阴山山脉岩石上的图像，分布地域广泛，主要集中在乌拉特中旗、乌拉特后旗、磴口县等旗县的境内，题材涉及动物、人物、神灵、器物、天体等。阴山岩画的艺术水平精湛，其刻法有敲凿、磨刻、线刻等，世界只有少数岩画遗迹可与之媲美。
