科珀最初以为是一架类似支努干（Chinook）直升机，但仔细看后发现其外型奇特，认为它不是无人机，亦不是直升机，其后就算他把片段给港口职员看，也没有任何头绪。

科珀称这是一架不明飞行物体，自此亦相信有外星人的存在，“我本来对外星人没有概念，从无证据显示有外星人，但经过今次我相信会改观”。
