不过令人心痛的是，HTC智能手机时代老将，前任HTC执行长、HTC Future Development Lab的领导者即将远离HTC。据爆料大神upleaks爆料，目前周永明已经离开HTC。

周永明，缅甸华侨，籍贯云南腾冲，生于1954年，1985年自海洋大学毕业，1987年进入迪吉多电脑，担任资深工程师；1997年加入HTC至今。周永明任职HTC CEO期间，带领公司由代工大厂转型为全球知名智能手机品牌，并入选Interbrand世界百大品牌。离职前曾任HTC Future Development Lab领导者。

事实上在周永明离开之前，有消息称不少的HTC Sense、设计方面核心员工也已离职。2013年，HTC Sense灵魂人物卓火土离开团队，之后Sense团队多名核心人物也已离开；2014年4月，HTC前首席设计师斯考特•克罗尔(Scott Croyle)离职，而后填补这一空缺的乔纳•贝克尔(Jonah Becker)在去年3月也离开了HTC。6年前两人的设计工作室One&Co被HTC收购后，他们便加入了HTC。
