51Talk无忧英语创始人兼CEO黄佳佳表示，登陆纽交所，不仅是51Talk成长中的重要时刻，对于整个在线教育行业也是重要的发展里程碑，51Talk的成功上市，有利于品牌效应的提升，让世界资本通过“51Talk中国赴美上市第一股”，进而看到中国在线教育行业和市场的巨大机遇，这将有利于提振整个在线教育行业的发展和进步。

根据此前招股文件显示，51Talk计划发行240万份美国存托股票(ADS)。按照美股19美元的发行价计算，公司融资额将为4560万美元。如承销商行使超额配售权，融资额将达5244万美元。此外早期投资人DCM、红杉还参与了共计2000万美元的基石投资。

对于本次融资的金额，51Talk表示，将主要用于企业用途，这其中包括销售和市场活动的投入、课程产品研发、技术基础建设、资本性支出，以及公司综合行政事务支出。未来51Talk可能会使用部分收入用于投资或收购业务互补的企业，但近期还没有具体的目标。

招股书显示，2013-2015年间，51Talk净收入分别为2166.5万元、5221万元和1.55亿元。51Talk创始人黄佳佳所持股份占比16.8%，联合创始人舒婷持股7.2%。而投资方DCM持股24.1%，红杉资本为19.3%，顺为资本持股15.3%，多玩持股10.4%。
