Chinese Consulate-General in Los Angeles 8th announcement, warned Chinese citizens to guard against illegal labor intermediary cheat not working tourist visas to visit Saipan.

Consulate General now is helping other victims, to allow them to return home.

Chinese Consulate General in Los Angeles reminded Chinese citizens do not believe that some of the so-called "acquaintances" or the introduction of false information on the Internet, attempting to enter as a guest in Saipan illegally working. According to the relevant regulations on Saipan, tourist or business visa is unable to obtain any documents on the ground. 　　中国公民赴塞班打工受困 中国领事馆提醒谨防“黑中介”欺诈

　　中国驻洛杉矶总领事馆8日发布公告，提醒中国公民谨防不法劳务中介欺骗，切勿持旅游落地签证赴塞班岛打工。

　　据记者向分管塞班岛领事保护工作的中国驻洛杉矶总领馆官员了解，5月共计有24名中国公民向领馆求助。他们受国内劳务中介欺骗，以游客身份抵达塞班岛。在塞班岛的“黑中介”同伙以协助办理工作证件为由，将这些中国公民的护照收走，并收取数千美元“中介费”，随后销声匿迹，而国内中介也无法联系，受害人滞留塞班无法回国，陷入生存困境。

　　中国驻洛杉矶总领馆接到受害人的求助信息后，立即联系中华总会等当地华侨团体和一些热心华侨，为他们提供了食物等援助。同时，总领馆积极与塞班岛当地机场、航空公司等机构协调，目前已陆续协助十几名受害人回国。目前总领馆正在帮助其他受害人，争取让他们早日回国。

　　中国驻洛杉矶总领馆提醒中国公民，切勿相信一些所谓“熟人”的介绍或虚假的互联网信息，企图以游客身份入境塞班非法打工。根据塞班岛有关法规，持旅游或商务签证入境者无法在当地取得任何工作证件。如确需在塞班工作，应事先向塞班劳工部门申请工作许可，并办理相应签证。（记者薛颖，编辑王申，新华国际客户端报道）
