滴滴官方表示，截至今年5月31日，滴滴顺风车平台共运送2亿人次出行，总行驶里程为29.96亿公里，使用乘客数突破3000万人，覆盖城市达到343个。对于广大用户比较关心的用户群体数据，滴滴公布的数据显示，使用滴滴顺丰车的用户多为职场白领，乘客大多数从事服务业、房地产建筑、互联网软件、金融类、汽车机械等行业的工作。使用顺风车的乘客性别比例为1:1，坐车碰到异性的概率为1/2。在过去一年中，每位乘客平均乘坐6.1次顺风车。

对于滴滴顺风车车主，也有统计，使用滴滴顺风车车主排名前五的职业分别为服务业、汽车机械、房地产建筑、互联网软件、金融类，车主的平均年龄为32岁，男女性别比为6:1，所开汽车价格最多分布在10万至30万之间，占比67%。

此外，顺风车的热门使用城市前十名分别是北京、杭州、武汉、广州、大连、天津、成都、沈阳、深圳、合肥，主要是一二线区域重点城市。
