中医科学院发明神经刺激仪 可改善抑郁症状

　　我国科学家经过10多年研究，利用自主研发的耳迷走神经刺激仪治疗抑郁症取得了良好临床疗效。这些科学家的论文不久前发表在国际情感障碍学会主办的《情感障碍》杂志上。

　　迷走神经是最长的脑神经，广泛分布于心肺胃肠及血管组织中。迷走神经刺激术是近10余年来国际上兴起的用于治疗某些顽固性疾病的有效物理治疗方法，美国食品药品监督管理局认定其为有效治疗癫痫以及抑郁症的技术。这一方法因需通过外科手术在颈部置入微型刺激仪刺激颈部迷走神经，受到手术及潜在副作用等因素限制难以推广应用。中国科学家从本世纪初开始寻找通过体表刺激方法产生“迷走神经效应”的可能性。

　　中国中医科学院首席研究员朱兵教授团队发现哺乳动物外耳中央及外耳道分布有迷走神经耳支，并在一系列研究中观察到这个区域的刺激对癫痫和抑郁症等疾病有较好效果，研发了具有自主知识产权的耳迷走神经刺激仪。

　　在国家科技支撑计划课题及北京市自然基金重点项目支持下，这个研究团队在中国中医科学院广安门医院、针灸医院和北京中医药大学附属护国寺中医医院采用多中心对照研究方法开展临床试验。

　　临床研究结果发现，耳迷走神经刺激组的抑郁症患者与对照刺激组相比，采用国际通用的抑郁症症状评估量表—汉密尔顿量表评分，其减分率较大，临床症状得到更明显改善。

　　“研究结果表明，耳迷走神经刺激是一种安全、有效、绿色、便捷的治疗轻中度抑郁症的方法。”中国中医科学院荣培晶研究员说。

　　目前，科学家们正在研制新型可穿戴的无线网络耳迷走神经刺激仪。
