  中新网沈阳5月14日电  (记者 朱明宇)中国科学院沈阳分院14日举行公众开放日活动,中科院沈阳自动化所研究员刘健表示,代表中国水下机器人最高水平的“潜龙二号”载誉归来,实现重大科考突破。

  “潜龙二号”全称为“4500米级深海资源自主勘查系统”。其总体目标是通过一套4500米级水下机器人系统平台,涵盖热液异常探测、微地形地貌测量、海底照相和磁力探测等技术,用于多金属硫化物等深海矿产资源勘探。

  据“潜龙二号”总设计师刘健介绍,在历经三个多月的印度洋海底探险中,“潜龙二号”表现出稳定的航行能力和避碰控制性能。其中,单次下潜最大探测时间逾32小时,最大航行深度超过3200米。4个连续长航程的成功探测创下了中国深海自主水下机器人之最。填补了中国深海硫化物热液区自主探测技术装备的空白,顺利通过各项验收。

  记者看到,“潜龙二号”长3.5米,重1.5吨,通体鲜黄色,头尾各有两个红色“鱼鳍”型推进器,外形好像一条黄胖鱼。

  1986年,中国研制出首台水下机器人“海人一号”。从2010年开始,中国水下机器人发展迅速,“蛟龙”号载人潜水器在7000米级海试中打破世界同类型载人潜水器最大下潜深度,接着无人系列的“潜龙一号”和“潜龙二号”也先后面世,未来目标将征服马里亚纳海沟。

  通过几代水下机器人的探测,中国已在太平洋申请了15万平方公里的多金属结核矿区,在西南印度洋申请了1万平方公里的多金属硫化物矿区,为了解深海资源奠定了坚实基础。

  当日,中国科学院沈阳分院系统内的金属研究所、沈阳应用生态研究所、大连化学物理研究所、海洋研究所等单位也就各自特点举办公众科学日活动,向社会展示重大科技创新成果,提升全民科学素质。
