央行《2015年支付体系运行总体情况》报告显示，我国银行卡发卡量保持稳步增长。截至2015年末，全国银行卡在用发卡数量为54.42亿张，较上年末增长10.25%，增速放缓6.88个百分点。其中，借记卡在用发卡数量50.10亿张，信用卡和借贷合一卡在用发卡数量共计4.32亿张。

银行卡消费业务增长显著。央行报告显示，2015年全国银行卡卡均消费金额为10106元，同比增长17.69%。全年银行卡渗透率（剔除房地产、大宗批发等交易类型，银行卡消费金额占社会消费品零售总额的比例）达到47.96%，比上年上升0.26个百分点。

信用卡方面，截至2015年末，全国人均持有信用卡0.29张，其中北京、上海人均信用卡拥有量分别达到1.34张和1.01张；全国信用卡授信总额为7.08万亿元，同比增长26.43%；信用卡卡均授信额度1.79万元，授信使用率43.77%；信用卡逾期半年未偿信贷总额占信用卡应偿信贷余额的1.23%，占比较上年末下降0.30个百分点。
