在此之前，沃兹曾经炮轰美国的教育体系，他认为大学教育就科技创业方面完全是误人子弟，因为大学并没有教学生们与工程相关的知识。作为一名工程师，科技创业从一开始就需要有工程师参与。当初创立苹果之时，沃兹和乔布斯的分工也很明确，他负责工程，乔布斯负责营销，两个天作之合才有了后面的一系列奇迹。
